Bainbridge Island was the site for the extraordinary summer wedding of Lizie and Kyle. Melody Davis worked out endless details and difficult logistics for this backyard wedding. School buses shuttled guests to and from the ceremony. Groom and groomsmen arrived by rowboat followed by a quick change of shoes. A rustic arbor made of island twigs , giant lime urns overflowing with hydrangeas and tons of flower balls decorated the lovely waterfront garden. For the reception at Wing Point Golf and Country Club, we switched the colors to nikko blue and fig for a more vintage feel. Silver and gold mercury glass vases were overflowing with herbs, garden roses, hydrangeas, sweet peas and crystals. Silk draping, cones of lavender for tossing and a grooms cake in the shape of Oklahoma were just some of the details inspired by this lovely bride and groom.
